Shipwrecks Return to Port....

The Ship Inn in a nor' easterly
After several summers of being tossed on the high seas while sailing from a port of convenience on the Whitesands (aka The New Bazaar), The Shipwrecks are to return to their true home at The Ship Inn, St Michael's Street for the coming cricket season.

Following a shaky period when it actually closed for a brief time, The Ship has now returned to form strongly under the leadership of new tenant Lynsey and won the CAMRA Pub of the Season Award for Autumn 2011.

Hopefully the team will be able to emulate the success of their new home pub by continuing their strong showing last season, when they finished fifth in the John Henderson and Sons Midweek League, narrowly missing a place in the playoffs, and won the Sulwath Brewers' Plate against traditional rivals Irving Meadow.

The team name will revert to Shipwrecks CC.

A Happy New Year to all who sail with us!
